DM3817-00-GWB gas coalescing Filter Element has hydrophilic properties, which can break down and coalesce emulsified water, separating it from the medium and forming larger water droplets for subsequent purification treatment.
The ultrafine fibers inside the filter capture droplets of oil, water, and other liquids through three mechanisms: inertial collision, diffusion interception, and direct interception. These micrometer sized fibers form tortuous channels for airflow, forcing solid particles and liquid droplets to be captured by ultrafine fibers. The surface tension of the liquid causes small droplets to coalesce into larger droplets, which settle to the bottom of the container due to gravity.
